The roots of Danceworks are traced back to the 1960’s where Sandy took lessons at the Peggy Soule’ School of Dance. She danced with Peggy until she entered High School. Later she continued her studies at Hazel Boone Studios in Canton under the direction of Sandra Philpott; a former Rockette.

In 1980 Peggy called Sandy out of the blue asking for help. Peggy had broken her ankle mid-way through the dance year and was desperate for a teacher to fill in. Sandy agreed to help and after 10 years together they renamed the studio to Danceworks.

Peggy retired in 2015 and Sandy took over as sole director. Sandy teaches all students at the studio along with alumni of Danceworks at the spacious location in Quincy Center (photos below) adding and growing curriculum and student base yearly.
